Kurdistan: Tragic Accident Claims Life of Kurdish Kolbar (Porter) in Kurdistan-Iran

On the evening of Monday March 31, 2025, Shahab Karimi a 21 years old Kolbar, originally from the village of Bangar, residing in “Tazawa” in Selas bawejani (salas-e- Babajani), tragically lost his life in a traffic accident on his way back from Jwanro (Javanrud).

According to reports from the Kurdistan Human Rights Association-Geneva, the vehicle carrying the Kolbars encountered a severe accident in the vicinity of the "Sarab Bas" village intersection on the Jovinroud to Selas Bawejani road. The young Kolbar succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital in Jwanro (Javanrud).

An informed source reported, Shahab Karimi’s body is currently held at the morgue in Jwanro (Javanrud).
