Kurdistan: Three Kurdish detainees Temporarily Released from Mahabad Prison Upon Posting Bail

On Thursday, April 10, 2025, Osman (Shawana) JahaniFar, Yusuf Qal, and Rahman Dana, three Kurdish civilians from Mahabad, were temporarily released from the prison in Mahabad upon the posting bail.


According to reports received by the Kurdistan human rights association-Geneva, during the 13th and 14th, 2025, security forces of the Islamic republic of Iran conducted a raid on the residence of these three Kurdish individuals and subsequently arrested all three without a judicial warrant and conducted a search of their homes during a raid and search of their homes and subsequently transferred to a security detention center in Urmia for interrogation.


All three individuals had been transferred to Mahabad Prison following the completion of their interrogation process.


As of the time of this report, no precise information has been obtained regarding the reasons for their arrest and the charges against these them.
