Kurdistan/Iran; Tens of Kurdish civilians summoned, arrested and their Kurdish attires confiscated in Mahabad and Bokan

In an ongoing crackdown on Kurdish population, Following a wedding ceremony in Bokan where attendees dressed in "khaki toned Kurdish clothes," Iranian security forces arrested the father of the bride and subsequently detained two additional Kurdish individuals, Ali Danesh and Samerand wojudi, in Mahabad. Moreover, numerous others received threatening phone calls urging them to appear at the Intelligence services office. Raids at night on the residences of Kawe and Laghman Salek, all of their Kurdish clothing, mobile phones, and identification documents were confiscated.
On the early morning of Friday, May 9, 2025, Ali Danesh and Samerand wojudi, were arrested by security forces without judicial warrants and were transferred to an undisclosed location.
Additionally, on the same day, security agents stormed the residence of Kawe and Laghman Salek in Mahabad force entering without presenting any legal documents, seized all of their Kurdish clothing, mobile phones, and personal documents.
In relation to these events, dozens of Kurdish civilians who attended the wedding in "khaki colored Kurdish attire" have been threatened via telephone by the ministry of Intelligence, demanding that they report to the security agencies.
On Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, Ibrahim Mardani, from Bokan, was arrested by security forces without judicial warrants following his child's wedding and was also taken to an undisclosed location. He was temporarily released the following Sunday, May 9, 2025, upon posting bail of 300 million tomans.
As of the time of this report, there is no disclosed information regarding the location and the custodial status of the detainees from Mahabad.
