On Sunday, May 3, 2025, Mohammad Mohammadi (Shexali), from Shinawe (Shinabad), Piranshar, was apprehended and transferred to Naqdeh Prison to serve his imposed sentence.

According to a reliable source, Mr. Mohammadi had previously been sentenced to two years of imprisonment on charges of "collaboration with a Kurdish opposition party" by the Revolutionary Court of Piranshar (Piranshar) and the verdict that was subsequently upheld by the Appeals Court.

On Monday, February 20, 2023, Mr. Mohammadi was temporarily released from Naqdeh Prison upon posting a bail of two billion tomans, pending the completion of legal proceedings.

During his detention, this Kurdish civilian was denied access to legal counsel and visitation with family members.

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Mohammad Mohammadi (Shexali) was arrested by Iranian security forces without a judicial warrant and was transferred to a security detention center in Urmia for interrogation. After two months of interrogation, he was relocated to Naqdeh Prison.
