Kurdistan/Iran; Death row inmate convicted of drug trafficking executed in Karaj

In the early hours of Wednesday, May 14, 2025, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner, Reza Miri, from the city of Harsin in Kermashan(Kermanshah) Province, was executed in Qazal Hesar Prison in Karaj.

This prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday, May 10, in preparation for implementating his death sentence.

Reza Miri was detained five years ago drug trafficking and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic republic of Iran.

As of this moment, the execution of Mr. Miri has not been published by official authorities or media outlets within Iran.
