Kurdistan: Iranian police forces shot and killed a Kurdish civilian in Wirmê (Urmia)

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Mohammad (Mamad) Hosseinzadeh, was targeted directly by the Iranian armed forces and lost his life in the “Tarzilu” neighborhood in Wirmê (Urmia).


According to an informed source, the Iranian police opened fire on Mohammad’s without prior warning. The source further indicated that the authorities targeted Mr. Hosseinzadeh's vehicle under the suspicion of smuggling illicit goods.


Mohammad Hosseinzadeh was from the village of Qashlaq-e-Tarzilu, in the central district of Wirmê (Urmia) county.
